I had so much fun watching this movie. We have a new iconic villain on our hands people! It starts as a horror film, but very soon introduces elements of thriller, fantasy and action film.

Both Brilliant Films With A Free And Effortless Flow Between Different Genres.


Wan’s talents build the more he directs. Annabelle wallis plays madison, the main character who is haunted and paralyzed by memories and visions of a man named gabriel. Florence weaver (jacqueline mckenzie) is video recording notes on her latest, most baffling and disturbing case.

The film sets itself up nicely for a sequel, which we can only hope will come some day. The lurid aesthetic returns in full force, the blocking grows frantic and restlessly mobile, even the writing sharpens up. The malignant is delightful, very well made, cross between the genres.

For A Lot Of The Movie, I Had Problems With Choices The Characters Were Making.


A classic staple of poorly written horror movies is a senseless killing to start off the film. Hell, even if you do believe her the movie falls apart for some. ‘malignant’ seems to make intentional choices either purely to aggravate horror purists or to push the limits of where average viewers draw the line.

Well, That Wasn't A Problem, Because This Movie Is So Far Off The Rails, You'd Be A Goof To Complain About Realism.
